Why you should eat banana pancakes when the moon is in Gemini

In this blog post, I would like to introduce you to the power of Healing Foods and Astrology so you can align your diet with the cosmic cycles. Banana Pancakes are not only super yummy but also healthy. This way, you can enjoy healthy and nourishing food, and at the same time, you can heal and strengthen your body.

Banana Pancakes

I’m a shamanic astrologer (as well as a nutritional therapist), which means I use astrology in my everyday life to enhance my overall quality of life daily.

My work allows me to apply astrology in different areas:
  • Predicting specific energy patterns for myself and clients from all over the world
  • Planning necessary appointments ( dentist, operations, business investments, etc.)
  • Healing sessions healing at the right time
  • Aligning my diet with cosmic and natural cycles to prolong and enhance my life
  • Rituals to draw from cosmic events to access more energy and power for tasks I want to undertake
  • Living in harmony with the world and the cosmos

Mostly I use different calendars, mainly the Solar- and Moon calendars, especially when I plan my diet and certain healing foods to strengthen my body.

Applying this concept, allows me to eat what my body needs at a specific time of the year and helps my organism stay strong, healthy, and heal quicker.

Drawing from the wisdom of ancient times when people used astrology and calendars to plan the planting of crops, grains, fruits, herbs, and more is super empowering. Those people were much more in tune with nature than we are today. They have passed down timeless wisdom on living in harmony with the cosmic cycles and using them for our benefit.

Unfortunately, this knowledge has nearly gone missing as we are no longer connected to those cycles.

Astrology

In our modern times, we have lost this natural connection. We have fallen out of natural rhythms. I feel this is also the cause of the rise of severe health issues and mental health issues. Through our fast-paced lifestyle we have no time to be connected to the planting, growing, and harvesting of our food anymore. Our supermarkets supply us with all we need, all year around. Even though we are spoiled with choices and have all we need, food quality has drastically decreased. A considerable amount of unnatural growing methods and the overuse of pesticides make us sick.

There is hardly any nutritional value in processed food, and the fresh food we buy is poisoned with deadly chemicals. I don’t wonder why we are suffering so many disturbing health problems.

No time to eat

Furthermore, the joy of food, its preparation, the connection with the land, and sharing has become rare. We don’t have time to enjoy the essential part of our lives – nourishment.

Constantly we rush into restaurants; order takeaways for comfort and seek quick fix solutions for our hunger problems. Unable to realize how this has damaged our organism, not even to mention our souls who long for deep connection over a warming and nourishing meal.

The western world is dying of overconsumption of everything that doesn’t hold any real value. While in other countries, food is still medicine. It is naturally grown, prepared, shared, and a massive part of culture coming together.

Our eating habits don’t fill the gap we experience, we are still hungry. Hungry for more. We crave love, connection, and nourishment, all that food once offered us.

The dangerous Idea of supplementing our lack

Those who are a bit more aware and know about the nutritional lack of food will actively seek help. However, there is a danger of over supplementing your lack of nourishment too. Just because you eat Magnesium, Calcium, Vitamins, etc., does not replace the warm and nourishing experience of a whole meal.

Furthermore, many supplements are labeled as such, but either don’t work or have side effects depending on the amount taken. Additionally, some people are unaware that you can’t just mix and match all of your supplements as this can either block them from working or create a toxic, allergic reaction in your body.

Supplements
My experience in this field

I have studied nutritional therapy based on the Western concept, which understands the body as a machine containing different systems. Those systems need certain nutrients to function correctly and there is nothing wrong with this at all. However, I just realized that there is more to this concept than ripping it all apart into small pieces and counting calories or chemicals that the body needs.

Oriental medicine

Chinese traditional therapy is deeply rooted in the ancient Taoism philosophy, and its concept dates back to the late 4th century BC. It has developed for several thousands of years and is still used today with great success. One of the primary forms of oriental medicine; it has systematic theories and great preventative and therapeutic methods for the disease. For this reason, I have studied traditional Chinese food therapy.

An energetic system understands that your body is healthy and strong if you are in balance. However, if you go out of balance, you will get ill.

I was fascinated by how traditional Chinese medicine, especially traditional Chinese food therapy, understands food as medicine and how they based the whole health care system on this knowledge.

Even though it is only one of the five pillars it also includes other therapies, such as acupuncture, acupressure, Tai Chi, Chi Gong, and traditional Chinese herbal medicine to prolong and enhance one’s lifespan.

My holistic diet system – combining the best of what I know

Chinese traditional food therapy and astrology create a holistic approach, a diet that allows you to enjoy and use food as nourishment. At the same time, to heal and strengthen your system. Today I’m combining the western approach with those two other systems.

Western nutritional therapy helped me understand what the body needs on a chemical level. Traditional Chinese food therapy is used to realize imbalances and how to help myself rebalance them. Astrology allows me to find the right timing for the body’s ability to digest and absorb certain nutrients that we see in food. It also makes me aware of certain body areas which are more sensitive according to the Zodiac sign the moon moves through.

This system is so exciting, and my clients worldwide are astonished at how it changes their lives. The system works for everyone.

No matter if you have set goals such as:
  • Want to lose or gain weight.
  • Tackle sugar cravings.
  • Need more nourishment in your diet.
  • Heal your relationship with food.
  • Overcome comfort eating.
  • Address a specific health issue you are struggling with

I promise you that my complimentary system of eating the right thing at the right time will change your life forever.

Food is medicine, nourishment, love, and energy we provide to our bodies daily.

Unfortunately, many people have a terrible relationship with food. Either they cut out certain foods, avoid them, or even deny their bodies to enjoy food. They made food their enemy.

At the end of this article, I will give you the whole recipe for a unique, healthy, and nourishing formula you can and will enjoy.

Let me assist you in healing your relationship with food and invite you to a new experience with my healing food blog posts.

Healthy Food
Why you should eat banana pancakes when the moon is in Gemini.

It’s a real treat and great food for kids, especially when they crave something sweet. Teaching kids how to create their own healthy and nourishing recipes will set them up for life and help them avoid many health issues that come with age from the wrong diet.

Furthermore, kids are excited too. Engage with food and share it with friends or their ideas and recipes with other kids.

This recipe does not only fill you up, but it also provides some fundamental healing properties that you never knew even existed.

When the moon moves through Gemini, which is two days each month, our body craves and has a high ability to absorb oil and fat. Much better than on other days.

Best Banana Pancakes

Take in the good fats.

Oil and fats are essential for our system, and only if we choose the right ones can we help our body become more vital and healthy.

Fat makes food tasty and provides flavor. It enhances feelings of satiety and stops overheating.

This way, we can gain a lot of energy. It helps our reproduction system, essential for producing steroid hormones, and allows the body to use and absorb specific vitamins. There are different types of fats, and the good fats are called Polyunsaturated fats, which promote brain and heart health. They can be found in many other foods that nourish your body, mind, and spirit.

This way, they can provide a protective cushion for many of the body’s organs, like the kidneys, the heart, and the intestines. It protects them from injury and holds them in place.

Oils that are high in Omega 3 and 6

Essential fatty acids, omega-3 or Omega 6, the body can’t produce on its own, which means that we need to take them in with our diets. A lot of us have been taught that fish oil is good for us, which is true. Unfortunately, today, with the overfishing and the pollution of the oceans, I don’t know if fish oil is the right choice to stay happy and healthy anymore.

Also, if you are vegetarian or vegan, you might look for a more plant-based alternative. Hemp seed oil is very rich in Omega-3 and Omega-6. It has a very nutty flavor, so it’s might not everybody’s taste, but it is nice to add to salads or use on its own on one tablespoon when the moon is in Gemini.

Another replacement to fish oil would be linseed oil or flaxseed oil, which is super rich in Omega three and six and helps keep your bowel movement smooth and easy. You can also get flaxseeds as a mix that is already shredded or grind it down, so it’s not necessary to use the oil, but you can add the flakes to your granola to your porridge or any other food that you cook with.

There’s also the triglyceride, blood fat that can come from sugar. And that’s often the problem for people who eat a lot of sugar: they’re building a lot of blood fat, which can lead to high cholesterol and damage to the liver.

For this reason, luckily, we can replace this unhealthy fat with some good fats, which can be found in coconut oil. I use coconut oil very much for cooking and baking, especially when I make pancakes; it’s a very delicious taste to it.

good fats

Some people use hot drinks to replace their coffee. Lately, there has also been another supplement on the market, MCT oil, which is man made from coconut oil, and they have filtered out the excellent stuff of the coconut oil. This way, the body can absorb it much quicker and release those fats as instant energy.

There’s a great company Garden of Life, which creates Collagen powder with MCT oil and is available for different tastes. You can use and add this flavor to your banana pancakes to make them taste in another way. I also use mocha, chocolate, and vanilla to make myself delicious hot chocolates and ice coffees with zero calories. It would help if you tried them too.

Moon in Gemini and the sensitive body parts

So when the moon is in Gemini, the sensitive parts of the body are the lungs, the hands, the shoulders, and the also the body has excellent absorption of fat, which means it’s a great time to eat nuts, seeds, and good fats such as Avocados or linseed hempseed oil.

The lungs are more sensitive when the moon moves through Gemini, which can lead to a little bit of breathlessness, or if you have weak lungs anywhere, you will feel it. Certainly more intense on those days. It’s also the area where we often have build-up some phlegm. This could come from the wrong diet, but also if you are a smoker, or you have been a smoker, you live in an area where you suffer from air pollution, then more than likely there’s some building up from phlegm happening in your lungs and you should do something about that.

Also, people who drink a lot of milk can create phlegm in the lungs, so they might want to reconsider using some replacements such as coconut, almond, or oat. Or any other nut kinds of milk or dairy-free milk can work wonders to improve such conditions.

The Banana Pancake Recipe

I’ve chosen the recipe for the Banana pancakes from Grapetree.co.uk for the moon in Gemini because it holds all the goodness we need to heal our bodies around this day of the month.

First, bananas help us remove toxins from our body, primarily through the colon. If you have problems going to the toilet, your stool is very dry. You suffer from Constipation, you have a lot of heat in your body, and therefore, the body is dry; bananas are perfect for eating.

Bananas also counteract, according to Chinese food therapy, the heat in the body. So if you have an accumulation of heat, eating bananas can help balance this out. You can also see a lot of hot countries in the Caribbean where people eat a lot of bananas, perfectly created for the hot weather.

We also use almond milk in our recipe, and it’s exciting that almonds help release phlegm out of the lungs.

People with nut allergy

For people who maybe have a nut allergy should avoid the nuts and try to use Oatmilk instead. The sweetness of the oats is perfect for your spleen and adds a feeling of nourishment. At least it helps you to regulate the blood flow.

Coconut Oil, in its nature, is warming, which helps a feeling of nourishment and pleasant warmth in the body without overheating. The stomach thrives on warm food.

Walnuts which you can be ad to the ready-made banana pancake, are sprinkled on top of them. This will help resolve phlegm from the lungs and move it out of the body.

Kidneys produce our life force energy and are essential to staying strong and healthy. We also add cinnamon and ginger, which is good for the liver, kidney, and stomach. This will help the liver digest fat and break it down more efficiently and strengthen our kidneys. I usually use pumpkin spice because it has all these spices, and I don’t mind nutmeg.

For sweetener, add some Maple syrup, which is quite lovely. If you don’t want to use any of these sugary things, you can add stevia, which has zero calories and is still very sweet.

Or you use the Garden of Life products:

Make your own healthy and tasty coconut yogurth

For this, you will buy a tin of full-fat coconut milk. You will also need two capsules of high-strength probiotics, which you’re going to break down and put the ingredients into the coconut milk. Steer it with a wooden spoon. You will put a towel on top of it and leave it for at least 48 hours to set. After 48 hours, you can add some lime. You can add some fresh orange to it to make it even sweeter. If you want to add some stevia, you can also do that. And once you’ve got completed all of your pancake eggs, you can sprinkle this coconut. You’re good as a lovely balancing ingredient with it.
